Terms used throughout this documentation.

AutoMod Ledra's automatic moderation. Six rules that watch messages and act without a moderator. Off by default. → Guide

Case One recorded moderation action, with a number counting up per server. Every warn, timeout, kick, ban, temp-ban and unban creates one. → Guide

Case number The #47 handle for a case. Used by /case and /unwarn. Unique per server and never reused.

Cooldown A rate limit on a command, per member per server. Prevents a compromised moderator account from mass-banning.

Ephemeral A reply only you can see. Almost every Ledra response is ephemeral.

Exemption A channel, role or staff level AutoMod ignores.

Hierarchy Discord's role ordering. A bot or member can only act on someone whose highest role sits below their own. → Guide

IANA time zone The standard naming scheme for time zones — Europe/Berlin, not "CET". What /settings timezone expects.

Infraction The internal name for a case. You will see it in the privacy policy.

Integration role A role Discord manages automatically for a bot or a subscription. Cannot be assigned or promoted by anyone, including Ledra.

Join role A role given automatically to everyone who joins. → Guide

Log category One of six event groups (messages, members, roles, channels, moderation, automod), each routed to its own channel. → Guide

Permission level Ledra's five access tiers: Everyone, Moderator, Administrator, Server owner, Bot owner. → Guide

Placeholder A {token} replaced with a real value when a message is sent. → Reference

Role menu A posted message with buttons where members assign themselves roles. → Guide

Scheduler The internal clock that checks every 30 seconds for due work: expired temp-bans, reminders and announcements.

Slash command A command starting with /, with options described by Discord as you type. Everything server-facing in Ledra is one.

Temp-ban A ban with an expiry, lifted automatically — even if Ledra was offline when it came due.

Timeout Discord's native mute. The member stays and can read but cannot speak or react. Capped at 28 days by Discord.

Unique pick A role menu where members can hold only one role from that menu. Picking a second swaps it for the first.
