Reminder commands

/remind and /reminders — available to every member.

All three are open to Everyone. No setup, no permissions.

/remind#

Remind yourself about something later.

Option Required Description
duration yes How long from now, e.g. 30m, 2h, 3d
message yes What to remind you about, max 500 characters

Cooldown: 3 per 30 s

/remind duration:2h message:take the pizza out
/remind duration:3d message:renew the server boost

The reply is private and includes the exact delivery time and the reminder ID.

Limits: minimum 30s, maximum 365 days, 10 open reminders per person per server.

Duration formats

/reminders list#

Your open reminders on this server, with IDs and delivery times.

Shows only your own.

/reminders cancel#

Option Required Description
reminder_id yes The ID from /reminders list
/reminders cancel reminder_id:12

You can only cancel your own. Someone else's ID gives exactly the same response as a non-existent one.

How delivery works#

Ledra posts in the channel where you created the reminder and pings you. If that channel is gone or unwritable, it falls back to a DM. If DMs are closed too, the reminder is dropped.

The ping reaches only you, whatever your reminder text contains.

Reminders due during downtime arrive at the next start, marked as delivered late.

The record is deleted the moment it is delivered.
