Your data
What Ledra stores, why, for how long — and how to get it deleted.
This page is a plain-language summary. The binding document is the full Privacy Policy, which also covers your legal rights under the GDPR.
The short version#
Ledra stores your server's configuration, moderation cases, pending reminders and scheduled announcements.
It does not store your regular Discord messages.
What is stored#
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Server ID and settings | So your configuration survives restarts |
| Staff role levels | To decide who may use what |
| Log channel assignments | To know where to post |
| AutoMod configuration, word list, allowed domains, exemptions | To apply your rules |
| Greeting text and settings | To send your welcome and goodbye messages |
| Join roles and role menus | To assign roles |
| Moderation cases — member ID, moderator ID, type, reason, timestamps | The case log and automatic expiry |
| Pending reminders — your text, your user ID, channel, timing | To deliver them |
| Scheduled announcements — the text, channel, interval, next run, creator | To post them |
| Server time zone | To schedule fixed-time announcements |
Free text Ledra holds#
Three things contain text a person typed. Being explicit about them matters more than a blanket "we store no message content":
- Moderation reasons — what a moderator typed when warning or banning
- Reminder text — what you typed into
/remind - Announcement text — what an admin typed into
/announce
All three were handed to the bot deliberately, through a command. None of them were overheard.
What is NOT stored#
- Your ordinary messages. Nothing you write in a channel goes into Ledra's database.
- AutoMod scans nothing into storage. Messages are checked in memory and discarded. Only the fact that a rule fired is logged — to your log channel, not to Ledra's database.
- Message logs live in your server. Edits and deletions are posted to the log channel you chose. They are Discord messages in your server, under your control, not entries in Ledra's database.
- No email addresses, no payment data, no IP addresses, no message history.
How long it is kept#
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Reminders | Deleted the moment they are delivered — or when you cancel |
| Announcements | Until deleted with /announce remove |
| Moderation cases | Until the server's data is deleted |
| Server configuration | Until the server's data is deleted |
Reminders are the strictest case on purpose. There is no archive of delivered reminders, no "sent" flag, no copy. Once it arrives, the record is gone.
When Ledra leaves your server#
Your configuration is kept, deliberately: an accidental kick should not destroy months of setup. Invite Ledra back and everything is as you left it.
To have it deleted permanently instead, ask — see below.
Your rights#
Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and a portable copy.
Some you can exercise yourself, immediately, with no request at all:
/reminders list See every reminder Ledra holds for you
/reminders cancel Delete one instantly
/settings view The full configuration of your server
/modlogs member:@You Your moderation history
For anything else — including permanent deletion of a server's data — contact the operator. The address is in the Privacy Policy and on the support page.
State your user ID or server ID so the right data can be found.
